| Registration Guidelines |
This Website provides information on mandatory and PIP training, conferences, and specialized training for professionals who work with children, youth and families. The following guidelines apply to all training provided by the Nevada Partnership for Training, unless otherwise noted. Registration: You must register for all training courses online. If you have trouble with online registration, please contact Sulochana at Ridgewood Associates (520) 318-0828. Confirmation: After you submit your registration information, a confirmation screen will tell you whether you have been enrolled in the class or placed on a waiting list. You will also receive an email confirming the class information and your enrollment status. If you want to check your status at any time, you can visit the View/Edit My Account Section of the Website and click on “View classes you have signed up for.” Waiting lists: If a class is full, the next five people to request registration will be placed on a waiting list. If a vacancy occurs, you will be notified by email that you have been accepted into the class. You must reply to that email to indicate that you will attend. Supervisor/Manager notification: Your Supervisor and Manager will both receive an email to let them know that you have registered for a class. Dropping a class: To cancel your registration for a class, go to Cancel a Class . You may cancel your registration up to 24 hours prior to the beginning of the class without penalty. Late cancellations and no-shows: In order to provide training in a cost-effective manner, we work hard to ensure that all available seats are filled. Late cancellations and no-shows waste limited resources. If you cancel a class within 24 hours of its starting time or don’t attend a class you are registered for, we will notify your Supervisor and Manager by email, and you may not be able to be rescheduled for the class you missed or for additional classes offered. Travel, lodging and per diem: State and county employees may claim reimbursement for travel, lodging and per diem, according to guidelines presented in the State Administrative Manual. Please read these guidelines carefully.Approval for in-state travel: If training requires in-state travel, you must receive approval for your travel before attending the training. To initiate the approval process, your Supervisor must forward the email confirming your registration to the Registration Coordinator. Your travel is not approved until you receive a return email from the Registration Coordinator. You must submit a copy of this email with your Travel Claim form in order to receive reimbursement. If you participate in training without this approval, you will be responsible for all travel expenses. Approval for out-of-state travel: If a conference or event requires out-of-state travel, additional approval procedures apply. Please contact your Registration Coordinator for information. Travel Claim forms: You can print pre-populated Travel Claim forms from the View/Edit My Account section of the Website. If you would like to change any of the pre-printed information on the form, please do so in ink and initial the change. Changes made to the document in this manner are acceptable for fiscal processing. Submit your Travel Claim form, along with a copy of the approval email from your Registration Coordinator, to the individual identified in that email. You will receive your reimbursement in 4 – 6 weeks. CEUs: We apply for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from the following organizations: State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Social Workers Each organization determines whether it will grant CEUs for a particular course and how many CEUs to grant. The types and number of CEUs that have been granted for each course are listed in the course information. After completing a course, you can print out your CEU certificate from the View/Edit My Account section of the Website.
