| Mandated Reporter: Recognizing and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect | This course, designed to teach you the basics of Nevada's Mandatory Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Law, is organized into five distinct parts. First, the lesson is framed by an introductory quiz to get you thinking critically about the law.
Next, the history of the Mandatory Reporting Law not only shows why the law is in effect but also what some other states have done to qualify for funding under the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA).
The third part is the most intensive as it details the fine points of the law. Section by section the legal jargon is translated into lay-speak so you will understand what is required of you by law.
Next, is an explanation of how to report child abuse. Local child protective services office phone numbers and crisis lines will be distributed to you in PDF form.

| North Carolina Family Assessment Scale: GR | The NCFAS-G+R is a combination of two assessment tools to measure family functioning. The NCFAS-G (general) portion of the tool is used with intact families while both the G portion and R (reunification) portion are completed with families that are reunifying. Training on the tool is designed to help workers understand the benefits of assessment, prepare workers to use the tool to identify family strengths and needs, develop case plans, and identify needed services.
